FORST around the world

FORST is based in the German city of Solingen, historically a hub for the production of knives, blades and cutting instruments. It was here that the man that gave the company its name, Oswald Forst, laid the foundations for today’s internationally successful business in 1909. This marked the start of the success story that has continued to this very day. Broaching tools and machinery from FORST are known around the world for their excellent quality.

Part of the company’s philosophy is offering customers the best possible service. The best way to do this is with contact partners who speak the local language and can be on hand quickly to help the customer. Our subsidiaries in China and the USA help us do just this:


Our Chinese customers can rest assured that they will get new FORST machinery and spare parts for their existing machines as quickly as possible.

As a sales and service hub, FORST’s Chinese subsidiary has been serving customers in this vital market since 2019. Through our cooperation with Wolf Tool Technology (China) Co. Ltd., we also have a service partner by our side for sharpening FORST tools.

Forst Technology Americas LLC was founded as a full US subsidiary on January 1, 2020. This gave our customers in North America a partner they could rely on for products and expertise whenever they were needed.

In addition, Forst Sharping Service in Fort Mill, SC offers all sharpening services for the NAFTA zone.
