FORST is based in the German city of Solingen, historically a hub for the production of knives, blades and cutting instruments. It was here that the man that gave the company its name, Oswald Forst, laid the foundations for today’s internationally successful business in 1909. This marked the start of the success story that has continued to this very day. Broaching tools and machinery from FORST are known around the world for their excellent quality.

Forst Technology Americas LLC was founded as a full US subsidiary on January 1, 2020. This gave our customers in North America a partner they could rely on for products and expertise whenever they were needed.
In addition, Forst Sharping Service in Fort Mill, SC offers all sharpening services for the NAFTA zone.
